HNLC cadre surrenders before police

Shillong, May 28 (UNI) A senior leader of the outlawed Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) have surrendered before Superintendent of Police A R Mawthoh on May 26, police said today.

Trust Diengdoh, the surrendered militant, had fled from the HNLC hide-out in Bangladesh to shun the path of violence.

However, the militant did not deposit any arms or ammunition, police officials added.
