Heroin worth Rs one crore seized, 2 held

Gorakhpur, May 28 (UNI) Police here today arrested two smugglers and seized over one Kg heroin, worth Rs one crore in International market.

On a tip off, the joint team of police and Special Task Force (STF) nabbed smugglers Nandlal and Avinash. Heroin in large quantity was also seized from the spot, Senior Superintendent of Police R K Rai said.

On interrogation, the accused confessed the heroin was supplied to them by a person in Hata area of Deoria district.

A manhunt to nab the accused was on.
