Gaddafi to visit India

New Delhi, May 28 (UNI) Libyan leader Col. Muammer Al Gaddafi has accepted the invitation to visit India.

''I look forward to visiting India,'' Col Gaddafi told External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee at his desert camp near the coastal town of Sirte yesterday.

The acceptance came after Mr Mukherjee handed over to him an invitation from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, an official statement said here today.

Mr Mukherjee, who is in the North African state as part of his four-nation tour, had an hour-long discussion with the Libyan leader.
