Five drowned after boat capsizes

Imphal, May 28 (UNI) At least five people drowned when their boat capsized at Lokoipat lake in Bishenpur district, 27 kms from here.

One woman and two eight-year-olds died on the spot yesterday, official sources said here today.

The boatman later died at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) hospital.

Another woman is still fighting for her life at RIMS.

The bodies of the drowned victims were recovered by troops and officials.
