Firstsource bags FSA authorisation for insurance mediation

Bangalore, May 28 (UNI) Firstsource Solutions Limited, among India's top three pure-play BPO companies, today announced the Financial Services Authority (FSA) of the UK had authorised it to provide insurance advice and arrange contracts In a release here, First Source said the authorisation could enable it, on behalf of its clients, respond to incoming enquiries relating to insurance products besides offering information and advice on clients' insurance services.

Firstsource could now upsell and cross-sell insurance products across a wide range of services and close insurance sales calls, the company said in a release adding it could also sell Handset Insurance on behalf of its telecom clients.
