Couple held for running sex racket

Yamunanagar, May 28 (UNI) A couple was arrested for running a prostitution racket from their house in Jagadhri town of the district, police said today.

Parveen Kumar and his wife Saraswati were arrested along with two women, who were allegedly involved in the flesh trade, in a police raid last night at their Patri Mohalla residence.

A customer, identified as Kanwar Bhan, was also nabbed, police said.

The accused, charged under Immoral Trafficking Act, were remanded in 14-day judicial custody by a local court today while the other three accused were granted bail.
