Constable hurt in encounter

Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, May 28 (UNI) A police constable was injured during an encounter with naxals near Bijapur district's Nagoor village today, police said.

The rebels ambushed a team from Bedre Police Station and the personnel returned fire. Constable Yograj Sharma was hospitalised here.

Extremists used felled trees to block several interior roads in Narayanpur and Kanker districts.
