BDO attacked in Vaishali

Hajipur, May28 (UNI) Block Development Officer Dhananjay Kumar of Sahdei, was severly thrashed by some unidentified criminals under Desri police station in Vaishali district today.

District Magistrate Lallan Singh said that the criminals attacked Mr Kumar when he was on way to his residence from the office.

The officer, who sustained serious injuries in the incident, was rushed to a local hospital in unconscious state.

Two criminals-Upendra Rai and Chandeshwar Rai were arrested in this connection, he added.
