Three arrested for forging documents for passport

Kaithal, May 27 (UNI) The Siwan police arrested three persons including a village 'lambardar' on charges of attempting to get a passport issued on the basis of forged documents .

Giving this information to mediapersons here today SSP Navdeep Singh Virk said that DSP Badri Parshad investigated the matter relating to issuance of a passport in the case of Sukhjinder Singh son of Baldev Singh Labana of Kakrala Anayat village in Guhla Tehsil of this district and took statements of the concerned persons .

After perusal of recorded statements and the documents pertaining to this case the official came to know that Sukhjinder was already in a foreign country and his passport had expired.

Kishan son of Gopal Singh and and Kuldip Singh, 'lambardar' under a conspiracy tried to get a fresh passport in Sukhjinder's name and got attested an affidavit from a Notary Public by misrepresenting facts.

During investigation it also came to notice that Kuldip and Kishan wrongly identified Sukhjinder Singh . On the information of DSP Badri Parshad, the Siwan police registered a case under sections 420, 467, 468,471 and 120 B IPC against Kuldip, Kishan and Baldev, all residents of Kakarala .

All the three accused were arrested by a police party and later they were produced in a local court and remanded to 14 days judicial custody.
