Prez concerned about Asom situation

Guwahati, May 27 (UNI) President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam has expressed deep concern over yesterday's bomb attack by the ULFA in Guwahati, while killed nine people and injured several others.

In a faxed message to Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, Dr Kalam condemned the blast and conveyed his condolences to the families of the deceased. He also prayed for the early recovery of the injured.

''I am sure, the state government is taking all steps to provide help to the injured as well as to the families of the deceased,'' the President said.
