Pregnant woman goes missing in Kangra

Kangra, May 26 (UNI) A 25-year old pregnant woman who had left her house in Kholi village near here for the Kangra Civil Hospital on Thursday last is still missing, police here today claimed.

The woman identified as Sunita Devi had gone for a medical check up to the hosptal. Police fear that she may have been kidnapped but has so far come up with no clues.

The husband of the missing woman, Sanjay Kumar was recently convicted for life term under section 302 IPC for beating a person to death. The police was working on different theories including abduction.

The police are exploring the possibility of her elopment with a youth of Uthragram village near Yol. She is believed to have been friendly with the youth.
