Patient dies due to alleged negligence

Kolkata, May 27 (UNI) A patient died today at the National Medical College due to alleged negligence of medical authorities here.

Hospital sources said here that relatives of the patient accused the hospital management of negligence and launched an agitation destroying the hospital property.

However, the hospital officials denied any negligence and said that delay in admitting the patient had caused his death.

Police forces were rushed to the spot to control the raging mob.

They had to resort to lathi-charge to disperse the crowd.

However, police sources informed that the situation was under control now.
