MP bandh against Reliance Fresh
Indore, May 27 (UNI) Business activities were partially affected in Madhya Pradesh's commercial capital today following the Malwa Mill Sabji Mandi Kherchi Vikreta Sangh's strike call in protest against the Reliance Fresh -- a Reliance Retail undertaking for sale of vegetables, fruits among other things.
The Malwa Mill Vegetables Market, Tilak Nagar Market and other small markets remained closed.
''Choithram main market, however, functioned as usual,'' said Mandi Secretary Nilay Satbhaiyya.
The Sangh demanded scrapping of Reliance's license. The agitators organised a meeting at Malwa Mill and protested against granting permission to major companies to enter the retail sector.
