Mercury dips further in Delhi

New Delhi, May 27 (UNI) Overnight rains across Delhi today brought down the temperature to 37.5 degrees Celsius, four degrees below normal, much to the respite of the people here.

The rains, accompanied by gusty wind, have plummeted the minimum temperature to 21.6 degrees Celsius, six degrees below normal.

According to weathermen, 1.6 mm rainfall was recorded till 0830 hrs this morning.

The met department has forecast a partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunderstorms accompanied by squall in some areas in the next 24 hours due to the influence of persistent western disturbances over the NorthWest.
