Labourer dies after falling from building

Mumbai, May 27 (UNI) A labourer was killed today when he fell from a height of around 50 feet from Navsari building on the D N road in south Mumbai.

The victim, R K Singh, was engaged in pre-monsoon work at the building, which houses the ICICI Bank, and was perched on a wooden plank when he slipped and fell to his death.

Six people were working on the building when the accident occurred and we went to the site after we heard a loud thud.'' said a CD vendor, Mohammed Shaikh who witnessed the accident.

''The deceased was taken to G T Hospital for a post-mortem'', said an official from Azad Maidan police station.
