Kumaraswamy has providential escape

Mysore, May 27 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today had a providential escape when the helicopter, in which he was travelling to Yelandur in Chamarajnagar District, force landed near a lake due to heavy winds accompanied by rain at Yelikere, Mar Yelandur.

The Chief Minister, accompanied by officials and Pandavapura legislator Puttaraju, was travelling in the chopper to participate in a series of programmes, when the accident occurred.

An unfazed Chief Minister got down from the chopper and listened to the grievances of the villagers, who surrounded him soon after his chopper landed.

After an hour, the chopper took off and safely landed at Vadegere helipad, where it was scheduled to land.
