Khanna inaugurates coaching programme
New Delhi, May 27 (UNI) Education is a top priority for betterment of Muslim society, Delhi Lt Governor Tejendra Khanna said here today.
Inaugurating a Civil Services Coaching Programme by the India Islamic Cultural Centre, he said that it was our good fortune that Muslims formed a significant part of our country.
He exhorted the residents of the national capital to be law abiding citizens. He said that the country could be best served by character building.
The Lt Governor also launched the website of the Center www.iiccentre.org. He was conferred with the honorary membership of the center. The coaching programme will benefit minority students of the country and those belonging to economically backward classes.
Also present on the occasion were President of the Center, Sirajuddin Qureshi, Chaudhary Tayyab Husain and Director, IICC, Safdar H Khan.
