Jamshedpur recorded year's hottest day

Jamshedpur, May 27 (UNI) Heat wave continued to affect normal life here as the mercury raise to about 45 degrees Celsius today recording the year's hottest day.

The Met office said the maximum temparature was recorded at 44.7 degrees Celsius, five degrees above normal, while the minimum temperature was at 29.7 degrees Celsius.

Relative humidity was recorded 55 and 37 per cent respectively.

Meanwhile, victims of the heat wave were being admitted to the MGM government hospital and Tata Main Hospital.

However, no casualties were reported so far.

The crisis of drinking water and frequent power-cut also hit normal life.
