Husband held for dowry death

Sultanpur, May 27 (UNI) Police today arrested a man for brutally murdering his wife for dowry in Peeparpur area of the district.

Late yesterday, Ram Kumar Sahu -- a native of Mishrane village -- had beated his wife Usha (23) to death after she failed to quench his dowry thirst.

Later, the deceased's father Ganga Prasad lodged an FIR against the accused.

The accused had been arrested and further investigations were on, police said.
