Gulbarga records highest temperature 41.2 degree celsius

Bangalore, May 27 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.

Rainfall occurred at many places over Coastal Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Mudibidre, Bajpe 5 each; Karkala Hubli, Pavgada 4 each; Mulki, Gadag 3 each; Haliyal, Belgaum AP, Kottigehara, Sira 2 each; Panambur, Puttur, Shirali, Mundagod, Bangarpet, B.Durga 1 each.

Maximum temperatures changed little over the State. They were above normal at many places over Coastal Karnataka; above normal at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and were normal over South Interior Karnataka.

Gulbarga recorded highest maximum temperature of 41.2 degree Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Tuesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at many places over Coastal Karnataka; at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at many places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka; at a few places over all the districts of South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Belgaum, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Bagalkote districts of North Interior Karnataka.

Forecast for Bangalore city: Partly cloudy. Rain/thundershowers likely towards evening/night in some areas. Maximum temperature would be around 32 degree celsius.
