Five nabbed while planning highway robbery

Fatehabad, May 27 (UNI) The police last night nabbed five persons while they were hatching a conspiracy to loot vehicles at Bahbalpur village in this district.

The police has recovered a pistol, two live cartilages, an iron rod and some other sharp edged weapons from their possession.

SP Saurabh Singh informed mediapersons today that a police party was on a routine patrol duty last night, when it received a tip-off that Chanan Singh, Sukha Singh, Gurdev Singh, Ramesh and Sukhvinder, all residents of village Banawali Sottar were sitting in a building near the bus stand of village Bahbalpur with arms and ammunition and were planning to loot vehicles.

The police party raided the building and nabbed the alleged accused red handed with arms and ammunition.
