Father strangulates 6-year old daughter

Phagwara, May 27 (UNI) In a shocking incident, a father strangulated his six year old daughter to death in Karayam village, police today said.

According to police reports the alleged culprit Surinder Pal who had estranged relations with his wife murdered his daughter on Friday last. To mislead the police he claimed that his daugher Preeti had been kidnapped by 'sadhus'.

The police after investigations took into custody Surinder Pal, who confessed to the murder of his daughter. The police recovered the body of the child from the fields in Hiyala village and booked the father under Section 302 of the IPC.
