Families snap ties with Sacha Sauda in Haryana
Fatehabad, May 27 (UNI) Several families associated with Dera Sacha Sauda today snapped ties with the sect and returned to their respective religions at Tohana town in the district here.
The families were offered 'siropas' at Gurdwara Toor Nagar.
Dharam Singh and Pandit Mahadev, who led the families, said they were disillusioned with the Dera after its management foiled the efforts by the Sarv Dharam Sabha to resolve the current impasse.
They alleged that the Dera had of late become a forum of political activities and was no more a ''pure religious sect''. In the last one week, a number of families in Punjab snapped ties with the Sacha Sauda.
Prominent among those were Satpal Singh, Lakha Singh, Leela Singh, Lakhbir Singh, Jeet Singh, Mithu Singh, Charan Singh, Amarjit Singh, Mahadev, Tarsem Singh, Raja Singh, Jagmel Singh, Roda Singh and Labh Singh.
