BT extends deal with Nestle for three years
New Delhi, May 27 (UNI) UK-based telecom major BT will manage Swiss packaged food major Nestle's global wide area network (WAN) services for another three years.
The scope of work includes delivery and management of a global Virtual Private Network (VPN) using Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) services connecting more than 1,000 sites worldwide.
''This contract will mark more than 15 years of relationship with Nestle, initiated through BT Infonet. It demonstrates Nestle's ongoing confidence in BT's commitment to deliver service improvements and a wide range of additional capabilities,'' BT Global Services CEO Francois Barrault said.
The service includes multimedia voice and video running across the network as well as the roll out of managed audio conferencing services.
The agreement also covers the management of secure inbound and outbound internet traffic using BT's managed firewall service and supports Nestle's global business excellence programme.
BT is one of the world's leading solution provider of communications and services operating in 170 countries.
