Boy killed while playing with pistol

Kolhapur, May 27 (UNI) A 14-year-old boy was killed while playing with a country-made pistol at village Dindewadi in Bhudargad tehsil of the district.

The boy, identified as Kiran Balwant Arbune, had visited the Bhudargad Fort along with four of his friends on May 20. The boys had found a country-made pistol and live cartridges that had been abandoned there.

The boys brought back the pistol along with them. Yesterday, one of the boys loaded a cartridge and accidentally pressed the trigger.

The bullet hit Kiran, injuring him seriously, police said.

The boy was rushed to the nearby hospital but was declared dead before admission.
