Bonded labourers rescued

Kancheepuram, May 27 (UNI) Revenue officials rescued 25 persons, including eight children, working as bonded labourers at a rice mill near Mamallapuram in the district last evening.

Police sources said acting on information, Tirukazhikundram Tashildar K S Ramanujam and Revenue Officials went to the mill at Echur and rescued them.

A search is on for the mill owners Soundrarajan and Srinivasan who had gone absconding, they added.
