Army to showcase firepower for civilians

Gangtok, May 27 (UNI) To showcase the capabilities of Indian Army in future warfare, a mega firepower demonstration will be conducted in a two-day exercise at Changu field firing range in East Sikkim.

The demonstration, the first in the state, would begin from tomorrow and would include Army aviation helicopters, Bofors Guns, field guns, mortars and infantry weapons, an Army release here today stated.

State Governor V Rama Rao, top army officers and civil officers would be witnessing the event, which is open to all civilians.

Artillery guns, helicopters, infantry weapons and communication equipment would also be displayed.
