All India Guru Singh Sabha wants Dera chief arrest
Kanpur, May 27: Regretting the alleged anti-Sikh activities of Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda head Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, the All India Guru Singh Sabha today said the prevailing agitation in Punjab could recreate the threat of terrorism in that state.
''The anti-sikh activities of Dera chief has hurt the feelings of the Sikh community. The community is furious, which is posing a threat,'' president of Guru Singh Sabha Kuldeep Singh told sources here.
''The Nirankari Baba's comment about Guru Nanak in 1970 kept Punjab on the boil for 15 years. Now, the Dera Sacha Sauda episode is again dragging Punjab to the same situation..both the central and state governments are aware of it,'' he claimed.
Demanding the arrest of Dera head, Mr Singh said the Punjab government should adopt a positive approach to maintain peace in the future.
