AIKS demands Centre to include seeds rates control clause

Vijayawada, May 27 (UNI) All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) Vice-President Kolli Nageswara Rao today demanded the Centre to include 'seeds rates control clause' in the seeds bill and make it an ordinance forthwith.

Addressing a press conference here, he said the Andhra Pradesh Government would have power to control the seeds rates for the benefit of the farmers.

He said the Mansanto and Mahico Bio-tech Limited (MMBL) will introduce B T Cotton-2 in Andhra Pradesh at cost of Rs 1,400 per packet this year.
