4 including ex-MP injured in road mishap

Sultanpur, May 27 (UNI) Four persons, including a former BSP MP Naresh Singh Kushwaha, were severely injured in a car-truck collision here today.

Police said the mishap took place near Lumbhua market, where Mr Kushwaha's ill-fated car rammed into an oncoming truck, when they were on the way to Mirzapur from Lucknow.

The injured Mr Kushwaha, Rajendra Maurya, Ramdhari and driver Damdi were admitted to the district hospital, where they were referred to Lucknow.

Mr Kushwaha got elected on a BSP ticket from Mirzapur constituency in 2004. Later, he was suspended on corruption charges.
