11 MoUs signed with DPIP assisted producer companies

Bhopal, May 27 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Government has signed 11 MoUs with District Poverty Eradication Project (DPIP)-assisted producer companies that would bring in an investment of Rs 370 lakh to the state.

The MOUs were signed in the presence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on the second day of agri-business meet in the new Vidhan Sabha premises here yesterday.

These MoUs pertain mainly to seed production, turmeric production, dairy production, minor forest produces, chilly, potato, onion and herbals produces etc.

A total of 89 MoUs were signed during the agri-business meet, an official release said here today.

Agriculture Minister Chowdhary Chandrabhan Singh, Animal Husbandry Minister Ramakant Tiwari, Chief Secretary Rakesh Sahni, Principal Secretary Parvesh Sharma, DPIP project co-ordinator Ravindra Pastor, Chairmaen and office bearers of producer companies were present, the release added.
