Israel seizes Palestinian government minister

JENIN, West Bank, May 26 (Reuters) Israeli forces seized a cabinet minister in the Hamas-led Palestinian unity government in the occupied West Bank today, a Palestinian security official said.

Palestinian Minister of State Wasfi Kabha, a Hamas member, was arrested overnight from a village near the West Bank city of Jenin, the official said. Kabha is the second cabinet minister to be seized by Israeli forces since Thursday.

The Israeli army said it arrested a Hamas member overnight but did not identify him.
