India to purchase 350 T-90 tanks from Russia
Moscow, May 26 (UNI) Russia and India may sign a contract on the deliveries of 350 T-90 main battle tanks (MBT) to the latter later this year.
''India intends to purchase from Russia about 350 T-90 tanks for its tank division,'' General Vladislav Polonsky told RIA Novosti news agency.
In 2001, India purchased from Russia 310 T-90S tanks, which included 120 completely manufactured tanks, 90 in semi-knocked down kits, and 100 in completely-knocked down kits.
India was the first country to buy the T-90 tank, which has been in the Russian Army since the mid-1990s.
