Two persons killed over land dispute

Barabanki, May 25 (UNI) Two persons were shot dead due to the an alleged land dispute in the Nagar Kotwali area here.

Police today said Rajkumar Singh (35) and his nephew Indrapal (28) were ploughing their field when Shiv Kumar Singh and his associates shot at them in the Basti village last night.

Both Rajkumar and Indrapal died on the spot.

Hearing the firing, villagers got alarmed and tried to nab the assailants but they fled the scene.

A case had been registered and a search is on to nab the absconding criminals.
