Mumbai: Twenty-eight IAS officials transferred

Mumbai, May 25: In a large-scale transfer, the Maharashtra government today transferred 28 senior bureaucrats to various other departments.

Neela Satyanarayan who was Secretary (Forest) has been transferred to Revenue department as Additional Chief Secretary. She is replaced by J P Dange, who has been shifted to Forest from Cooperation, according to official sources here.

A K Jain has been transferred to Water Resources department, while Ratnakar Gaikwad to Cooperation. He was till recently the Director of Yashada, Pune.

Leena Mehendale has been made as Director of Haffkin Institute.
