Storm in Bangla kills two
Dhaka, May 24 (UNI) A severe storm that swept the Bangladesh capital this evening killed two people, injured dozens, uprooted trees and snapped power supply, police and met office said.
The storm with 65 kms wind speed coupled with heavy rains disrupted normal life in this city as many roads went under water and many areas plunged into darkness.
Police said two people were electrocuted at a shop at Kalabagn in central Dhaka. Many were injured by fallen trees that also blocked traffic movement in and outside the capital.
