Sentiment growing to act on China trade-US senator
WASHINGTON, May 24 (Reuters) Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid warned today that sentiment was building in the US Congress to act to bring about better balance in trade between the United States and China.
''If China and the Bush administration won't take action to bring about more balance, there is growing sentiment in Congress to act,'' the Nevada Democrat said in a statement after meeting with Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi.
Reid said he had a ''frank conversation'' with Wu and they both understood the relationship between the two countries was a complex one.
