New Israeli air strike hits Gaza Strip
GAZA, May 25 (Reuters) Israeli aircraft fired missiles into the central Gaza Strip today, hitting a position used by the ruling Hamas Islamist movement, residents said.
Two missiles hit the position used by Hamas Executive Force fighters a short time after the site was struck by a salvo four missiles.
Hospital officials said four civilians were injured in the secondary attack, including a reporter working for a pro-Hamas radio station. The hospital officials said none of the injuries was particularly serious.
An Israeli military spokesman confirmed the attack took place south of Gaza City, and was targeting a Hamas position.
The attack followed a series of seven overnight air strikes which rocked the Gaza Strip early today, targeting several Hamas and Islamic Jihad positions.
