Youth caught while roaming in suspicious circumstances inside dera

Sirsa, May 24 (UNI) Dera Sacha Sauda have apprehended a 25-year old youth after he was found roaming in "suspicious circumstances" inside the commune last night.

The youth, identified as Jagtar Singh, was handed over to the police. No arms were recovered from him, police said.

Confirming that the youth was handed over to the police after being apprehended by dera followers, Superintendent of Police Vikas Yadav said that the youth appeared mentally upset and had been sent to the PGI, Rohtak, for medical check-up.

Police said that Dera followers suspected that the youth was sent to kill Dera Chief Sant Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh who is involved in a controversy over his alleged attempt to replicate the appearance of Guru Gobind Singh.

Meanwhile, talks were still continuing to resolve the conflict between the sikh clergy and the Dera Sacha Sauda by an all religion delegation but there was no headway so far.

While the Akal Takht had demanded an apology from the Sacha Sauda Chief for his ''blasphemous'' act, the Dera had earlier refused to apologise and maintained that it had already expressed regrets over the issue.
