Young lovers jump before train in Punjab

Hoshiarpur, May 24 (UNI) A young couple, who were in love ended their lives by jumping before a train near Purna Bhangala railway station on the Jalandhar-Pathankot rail section, 70 kms from here today.

According to police sources, 19-year old Mala and Lakhbir Singh (24) jumped before the Shalimar Express in the wee hours today.

They decided to commit suicide as their parents did not favour their relationship.

The Railway police (GRP) after a post mortem handed over the dead bodies to their relatives.
