Water levels in three major reservoirs decrease
Thiruvananthapuram, May 24 (UNI) The water levels in three major reservoirs of Kerala had decreased.
According to figures released here today by the Central Water Commission for the week-ending on May 21 at Idukki, the water level decreased from 2,320.10 ft to 2,315.00 ft, at Idamalayar from 459.25 to 453.44 ft and at Kallada from 304.59 ft to 302.49 ft.
When compared with water levels recorded during the same period last year, Idukki and Idamalayar reservoirs showed an increase of 5.06 ft and 15.35 ft, respectively, while the Kallada reservoir recorded a decrease of 14.44 ft, a press release said.
