Traders meet LG on sealing issue
New Delhi, May 24 (UNI) A delegation of traders today met Delhi LG Tejinder Khanna and urged him to ensure the implementation of recommendations of the Centre-appointed Committee formed last year on the sealing and demolition issue.
Handing over a memorandum, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) delegation also impressed upon the need of adopting relocation policy prior to uprooting any trader in Delhi and adopt a holistic and humanitarian approach.
Mr Khanna, who had headed the Central Committee on sealing, stressed the need of a Urban Regulatory Authority, Real Estate Commission, Enforcement task force and special task force for key infrastructure projects in order to streamline systematic development of Delhi.
He categorically assured that only lawful sealing would be allowed in Delhi and appropriate directions have been issued to departments concerned to uphold the law.
The delegation drew his attention towards increasing problem of parking space in the national capital offered to join and hands with government for development of multi-level parking on BOT basis.
