Siraj scribe bags 'Deshamitram' award

Kozhikode, May 24 (UNI) 'Siraj' Sub Editor Sharief Paloli has been chosen for the 'Deshamitram' award instituted by Kerala Samskarika Parishath (KSP).

His article 'Nandigraminte Nerkkazhchakal', which appeared in the Malayalam daily from April seven to 11 bagged him the award, KSP state President Sharief Ullath told reporters here today.

The award, carrying a prize of Rs 10,001 and a plaque, would be presented to him at a function in Thiruvanathapuram on August 15, 2007, he added.
