Shukla brothers get bail
Mumbai, May 24 (UNI) A local court today released on bail the Shukla brothers, implicated in the case of cheating, forgery and extortion against underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's sister Haseena Parkar.
The Shukla brothers -- Krishna Milan and Sandeep -- were released on a personal bond of Rs 25,000 each. The prosecution had failed to file a reply on their bail application.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate V K Sharma released the brothers on bail and directed them to deposit the amount within ten days.
The brothers were arrested on April 25 this year after rejection of their anticipatory bail application by sessions judge S P Davare.
As per the prosecution case, the Shukla brothers had refused to pay back an advance amount of Rs 30 lakh to developer Jayesh Shah after a property redevelopment scheme under the SRA failed to take off.
