SEBI Chairman meets CM
Agartala, May 24 (UNI) Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Chairman M Damodharan called on Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar here today.
Official sources said Mr Damodharan reached here this morning on a four-day visit to the state and he was scheduled to meet top bureaucrats, entrepreneurs, investors and bank officials.
He discussed the possibilities of investment in stock markets as well as other viable sectors of capital investment during his meeting with the Chief Minister, sources added.
Mr Damodharan is one of the bureaucrats of the Manipur and Tripura cadres and has spent a long time of his service life in Tripura.
He was the state Chief Secretary between 1992 and 1995 and would be retiring from service this month.
