SDM sent in 14 days remand in bribe case

Dehradun, May 24 (UNI) The Sub-District Megistrate caught for allegedly accepting a bribe was today presented in the District Court here and sent in 14-day judicial remand.

SDM Badkot Narain Datt Pandey was yesterday caught red-handed by Vigilance Team taking a bribe of Rs. 10,000 from one Chandar Singh,resident of Badkot, for entering his name in the land records.

Chander singh had earlier complained about SDM's demand to the vigilance Department whereupon a trap was laid and Narain Datt caught red-handed taking a bribe at his residence. Pandey was brought to Dehradun and presented before the District Court today.
