Quack gets life term in prison

Aurangabad, May 24 (UNI) A local court sentenced a quack to life imprisonment for raping a girl during treatment.

The court also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on the culprit.

Additional district and sessions judge Mahattam Prasad pronounced the judgement after holding the quack guilty of commmitting rape.

According to the case, the victim's mother had approached the quack for treatment of her mentally retarded daughter at Dev in Aurangabad in 2004.

The quack, on the pretext of medical examination, asked the mother to leave his chamber and raped her daughter under the guise of treatment.
