One shot dead, hardcore militants nabbed

Imphal, May 24 (UNI) A man was shot dead last night while in a separate incident Imphal East District Police apprehended two hardcore Kuki National Army (KNA) cadres from here, SP Imphal East District, L.Kailun said.

The two militants were identified as TS Chochon (25) and Paolun (27).

Chochon joined KNA in 1997 and was trained at Moreh, Manipur and Paolun joined the outfit this year, the SP said.

The body of the person, who was shot dead by unidentified miscreants, was not yet identified and was kept at the morgue of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences for post mortem, the SP added.
