'Muhkuchwa' terror in UP

Ghazipur, May 24 (UNI) The terror of a 'muhkuchwa' gang is haunting the eastern Uttar Pradesh district these days.

'Muhkuchwa' is a rustic nomenclature given to someone, who attacks by crushing the face.

''So far, three cases have come to light, where a woman was brutally done to death and two others grievously wounded in Chauhan Basti. We suspect it to be the handiwork of the notorious 'muhkuchwa' gang,'' Additional Police Superintendent M M Beig here said.

The body of Chandravati Chauhan (60) was recovered today, while her husband Nakhdu and relative Kamla were lying unconscious nearby.

The trio were attacked with stones by the suspected gang members late last night.

Meanwhile, the injured had been referred to a Varanasi hospital.
