MPHC ruling on DMAT
Jabalpur, May 24 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh High Court today ruled that admissions to the state's private medical and dental colleges be granted on the basis of central counselling and in acordance with the merit list.
While hearing a plea by student Sumit Jain, Vacation Judge Ravishankar Jha issued notices to the state Medical Education Department and a committee formed to monitor admissions. Replies are to be submitted in six weeks.
''The provisions under which admissions are being granted, after the Dental and Medical Admission Test, are improper and should be scrapped,'' said Petitioner's Counsel Purushendra Kaurav.
